Traditionally, Silk & Snow offers customers a complimentary bedding bundle with each mattress purchased. Now, through their partnership with veritree, shoppers can choose to forgo the free product and instead plant trees in wildfire-affected regions of British Columbia. This values-driven option allows customers to make a positive environmental impact — one that is measurable, verified, and transparent.
By embedding reforestation into the checkout experience, Silk & Snow has enhanced customer engagement while driving business efficiency. In just one year, customers opted to plant trees over receiving a free product, helping to plant 30,000 trees and saving Silk & Snow over $1,000,000 in product, shipping and warehousing costs—the equivalent of planting over 7000 primary bedrooms full of trees. Even more notably, these customers had a 32% higher average order value and were 10% more likely to become repeat customers. During the brand's spring campaign that promoted the tree planting initiative, tree purchases increased by 128%.
