One Credit, One Tonne
Each carbon credit represents one tonne of CO2e kept out of the atmosphere or taken out of it, checked by an independent verifier under a recognized standard.
Retired in Your Name
When you buy, the credit is retired on a public registry with your organization as the beneficiary, 
so it can't be sold again.
Avoidance or Removal
Avoidance credits stop carbon from being released, for example by protecting a forest from clearing. Removal credits come from carbon taken out of the air, like trees growing bigger and older.
